The AM0951 serie

The professional industrial cable reels for the storing and winding of cables for practically every application, indoors as well as outdoors.

The unique construction has been designed to maximise:

Some important characteristics of the AM0951 serie:

  • Main spring: Self-contained; made from special alloy spring steel in a controlled manufacturing process, to extremely high standards. Through this, optimal repeatability and long spring life are assured. The spring is assembled into a metal cassette, which permits quick, safe and easy replacement.

  • Collector rings: The collector rings are made of eminent brass. The carbon brushes have a large surface area, which ensures a perfect contact with the collector rings. Each brush is mounted in a nonconductive holder. The modular construction of the collector ring assembly allows for further rings to be added as required and provide for ease of servicing.

  • Cable guide: The application of the fully adjustable guide arm with roller guide prevents de-formation of the cable, e.g. bending. This increases the service life of the cable.     Advantages of the guide arm are:

    • numerous settings over a maximum arc of 270°
    • fast, easy adjustment
    • optimal location with respect to the cable drum
    • secure positioning
    • non-contoured guide rollers, which prevent twisting of the cable.

  • Ratchet: This can be engaged when continuous spring tension is not required, e.g. hand tools. Location is fixed with respect to the cable drum outlet, ensuring that the reel can never be "locked out" when the cable is totally extended.

  • Construction: Weathertight construction, manufactured from aluminium die cast components. Provided with a corrosion resistant powder polyester coating in a striking yellow colour. The design minimises the number of components and allows for easy replacement to reduce maintenance costs.

  • Cable capacity max. 15 m (0,37 kg/m).

  • Collector capacity 30A / 600V.

  • Standard fitted with 4, 5, 8 or 12 collector rings.

  • Large terminal box for quick and safe cable mounting.

The AV and AVS series

Spring driven cable reels with wide drums and flange mounting are built with modular components which allows a great number of combinations covering most common requirements. The spring reels are strong and well designed in order to guarantee the highest reliability even in difficult applications. All reels are equipped with two totally sealed bearings which are lubricated for lifetime. The special design features well dimensioned shaft and bearings which allows easy and fast exchange of springs. Furthermore the sliprings are build in a totally sealed and modular unit, fully separated from the mechanical parts.

Some important characteristics of the AV serie:

  • Main spring: The springs are made of high-grade special steel which guarantees a long lifetime. Every spring is mounted inside a spring housing in order to avoid friction and wear. The springs can be replaced without removing the drum.

  • Sliprings: The slipring assembly is mounted in a solid glassfiber reinforced plastic housing which withstands corrosion and mechanical wear. The housing is designed to minimise condensation and to guarantee complete water tightness through glands and seals. Protection: IP65/66.

  • Cable guide: a guide arm with roller guide (optional accessoire) prevents de-formation of the cable, e.g. bending. This increases the service life of the cable. Especially useful for manual winding operation.

  • Ratchet: This optional feature can be engaged when continuous spring tension is not required, e.g. hand tools.

  • Finish:Corrosion protection is also a major feature with AVS reels. All steel plates and parts are either hot dip galvanised or have a polyester coating. Standard with stainless steel bolts and nuts. As option, all external parts can be fitted in hot dip galvanised steel with additional coating.

The AZ15315 serie

The complete industrial cable reel for the storing and winding of cables for a wide variety of applications, both indoors and outdoors (covered area only).

Some important characteristics of the AZ15315 serie:

  • Spring driven: The main spring provides the power to automatically wind back the cable when payed out.

  • Collector rings: The reel is provided with 3 collector rings, making it possible to wind cable without unplugging.

  • Cable outlet with roller guide: The roller guide prevents de-formation of the cable, e.g. bending. This increases the service life of the cable.

  • Cable stop: Adjustable stop to set the external cable tail.

  • Ratchet: This unit locks the drum every rotation to eliminate the continuous spring tension, useful when working with e.g. hand tools.

  • Connection cable provided. The reel comes with 1,5 m connection cable (3x1,5 mm2);
    cable premounted on the reel: 15 m (3x1,5 mm2)

  • Max. electrical consumption 2000W / 230V (cable payed out completely).
